人物經歷
1964年出生於湖南宜章。1979至1986年於武漢大學化學系學習。畢業後留校任教。1994年至1995年作為客座研究員在日本明治大學進行合作研究。1995年考入日本東京工業大學生命理工學部攻讀博士學位,1998年獲得博士學位後回國工作。現任武漢大學資源與環境科學學院教授,博士生導師, 環境科學系副主任,湖北省化學化工學會環境化學化工專業委員會副主任。
研究方向
主要科研方向是生物質資源化學和環境污染物治理。涉及的領域包括甲殼素及其衍生物結構與功能;基於生物質分子設計與組裝製備生物醫用材料和藥物控釋材料、吸附與分離功能高分子材料、光催化氧化功能材料、腫瘤診療新藥。

承擔項目
主持與參加國家自然科學基金、國家“863”、湖北省重點科技項目、以及與大企業合作項目多項。已在國內外學術刊物上發表70多篇論文,其中被SCI、EI收錄文章40餘篇。合寫專著2部,教材1部。套用研究成果已獲發明專利授權8項。與企業合作開發新藥已獲得一個國家食品藥品監督管理局頒發的新藥證書。
