聶進，生於1956年，現為華中科技大學教授，主要研究領域為元素與金屬有機化學，方向為新型有機合成催化劑和有機功能材料的研究與開發。

1993-1995：日本九州大學 博士。
1985-1988：中科院上海有機化學研究所 碩士。
1978-1981：江西師院撫州分院化學系。
2000至今：華中科技大學化學與化工學院。
1988-1999：華中理工大學化學系。
2003.12-2004.6：美國Wake Forest University 化學系訪問教授。
2006-2010：教育部高等學校化學與化工學科教學指導委員會化學基礎課程教學指導分委員會委員。
研究方向
1. 利用含氟氮超酸弱配位有機陰離子的過渡金屬配合物（特別是鑭系化合物），開展新型Lewis酸催化劑的研究。
2. 利用含氟氮超酸弱配位有機陰離子的鹼金屬化合物，開展新型電解質材料的研究。
主講課程
本科生有機化學、有機化學實驗課程，研究生的金屬有機化學、綜合有機化學實驗等課程。
