Yiwu Shangxi Middle School is located at Shangxi town, beside the Provincial Road 03. It neighbors on HuangshanYellow Mountain Eight Side Hall and two former residences of Chen Wangdao and Wu Han, with pleasant and charming surroundings, long historic heritage, and rich resources.
Founded in 1952, the school was moved to a new campus in August, 2013. Covering an area of 150 mu and with a total investment of about 150 million yuan, the new campus has a total building area of about 68,748 square meters, with a capacity of 60 classes. The school has excellent layout, with a library building, a multifunctional lecture hall, a laboratory building, an art building, a gymnasium, a lecture theatre, six outdoor basketball courts, three outdoor volleyball courts and the plastic runway.
Currently, there are 36 classes with 1,500 students and over 150 staffs in our school, including 101 full-time teachers, 2 senior teachers and 56 secondary level teachers. Age composition of teachers is reasonable, with backbone teachers taking the lead, who are qualified with noble morality, strong scientific research ability, high academic level and prominent teaching effect.
