第四批國家“萬人計畫”科技創新領軍人才(2019)、科技部重點領域科技創新團隊負責人(2018)、教育部高等學校植物生產類教學指導委員會農藝(含農學、植物保護)類教學指導分委會委員(2018)、“熱帶農林生物災害綠色防控教育部重點實驗室”主任、海南省特色重點學科“植物保護”責任教授、海南省領軍人才、《熱帶作物學報》副主編。
1991年南京農業大學植物保護系,獲得農學學士學位;2000年在美國阿肯色大學做訪問學者;2001年新疆農科院副研究員;2009年南京農業大學植物保護學院植物病理學專業,獲農學博士學位;2010年在海南大學環境與植物保護學院任教,同年5月被海南大學高聘為教授;2011年任海南大學環境與植物保護學院副院長,負責科研、研究生、學科建設及科技開發工作;2014年任海南大學環境與植物保護學院院長。2016年任海南大學熱帶農林學院副院長,熱帶農林學院研究生院院長。2017年任海南大學熱帶農林學院副院長兼植物保護學院院長;2019年任海南大學植物保護學院院長。
主要研究領域是植物與病原微生物的互作、植物抗病基因工程及抗性基因分子檢測、植物病害生物防治。主持有國家重點基礎研究發展計畫(973)前期專項、國家自然科學基金項目、教育部項目、科技部項目、農業部項目、“948”項目、國家外專局項目、國家留學基金委資助項目、農業公益性行業科研項目(子項目)等。參加過“863”、“973”等多個項目。獲得省級科技成果一等獎、二等獎、三等獎等共9項。制定國家標準(GB 20817-2006)一項。參與編著《Transgenic Cotton: Methods and Protocols》1部,由國際著名出版商springer旗下的Humana Press出版。先後出訪美國、奧地利等國。
自2001年,作為研究生導師,已培養或正在培養博、碩士研究生30餘名(含外國留學博士研究生3名)。已經培養的研究生中:1名博士生畢業直接獲得海南大學D類高層次人才待遇,2名獲優秀博士論文,2名獲優秀碩士論文,2名博士留學生學位論文盲評中分別以全優和兩優一良獲得好評,其中1人獲得優秀博士論文,另1人獲得國家留學基金委頒發的2018年中國政府優秀來華留學生獎學金。主要承擔博士生、碩士生及本科生的“分子植物病理學”等課程的教學任務。
