先進紡織材料及加工技術國際會議由浙江理工大學、先進紡織材料與製備技術教育部重點實驗室主辦。會議於2010年10月20日至24日在中國杭州舉行。
杭州是經濟繁榮的中國東南省份浙江的省會，是歷史悠久的絲綢之府和聲名遠播的現代紡織工業基地。杭州也因擁有夢幻般的西子湖和深厚的文化底蘊，成為中國最知名的旅遊勝地之一。豐富的歷史遺蹟、優秀的人文藝術景觀、環境優雅的酒店、精緻的飲食和引人入勝的風景，使得杭州不愧為一個理想的會議舉辦地。
本書即為該次會議的論文集，收錄了一百餘篇論文成果。
