個人履歷
一直從事獸醫微生物與免疫學、獸醫生物製品學、獸醫公共衛生等方面的教學與科研工作。
主要社會兼職
中國畜牧獸醫學會理事；亞洲霉形體組織理事；湖北省畜牧獸醫學會常務副理事長；湖北省畜牧業經濟學會副理事長；武漢市畜牧獸醫學會副理事長；湖北省家禽業協會常務理事；湖北省奶業協會副會長；中國微生物學會獸醫微生物學分會和中國畜牧獸醫學會禽病學分會理事等職務。
個人榮譽
近年來主持國家級及省部級科研課題20餘項，發表文章150餘篇；出版《動物霉形體及研究方法》、《禽流感防治知識100問》、《支原體學》等專著，參編《獸醫免疫學》、《禽病學》、《分子遺傳學》等教材8部。獲國家教學成果二等獎、湖北省教學改革一等獎、湖北省科技進步二等獎、湖北省科技成果推廣獎一等獎及教育部技術發明獎二等獎等5項，獲5項國家發明專利；已培養畢業碩士生45名，博士13名。
主要研究方向及學術成就
1. 闡明了雞毒霉形體粘附素蛋白（pMGA）在免疫逃逸中的作用方式；2. 禽類霉形體、禽流感病毒、鴨肝炎病毒、鴨疫里默氏桿菌等感染的分子吸附、宿主應答等分子致病機制及主要抗原表面展示研究；3. 畜禽主要疫病及獸藥殘留分子免疫學快速診斷試劑研究。
