甄瑩,女,博士研究生,現為西湖大學生命科學學院教師。甄瑩博士主要從事演化基因組生態基因組方面的研究,以探索適應性演化的分子遺傳機制為研究核心,結合各種基因組學大數據和分子遺傳試驗,在不同的模式和非模式生物體系中研究適應性演化的分子機制。
2003年畢業於北京大學,獲得生命科學學士學位;
2009年在美國堪薩斯州立大學獲得生物學博士學位;
2010-2014年在美國普林斯頓大學生態與進化系從事博士後研究;
2014年起在美國加州大學洛杉磯分校生態與進化系以及環境與可持續發展研究所做博士後;
2016年晉升為Assistant Project Scientist;
2018年底全職加入西湖大學生命科學學院 。
甄瑩博士主要從事演化基因組生態基因組方面的研究,以探索適應性演化的分子遺傳機制為研究核心,結合各種基因組學大數據和分子遺傳試驗,在不同的模式和非模式生物體系中研究適應性演化的分子機制。這包括:(1)通過解析多種食草性昆蟲對心臟干擾素的毒素耐受性的遺傳機制來理解演化的可預測性,該研究成果發表在Science上,是首次將基因組大數據的方法套用到如此大量非模式生物的研究中,在短期內被多個高水平綜述雜誌大篇幅引用。(2)用深度種群基因組學方法研究非洲熱帶雨林區域物種的基因組的多樣性以及適應性演化,該結果正在被研究人員用以更好地規劃和保護該區域現有的生物多樣性。(3)採用生態與演化基因組學方法進行植物抗凍多樣性研究,該結果第一次系統性的揭示了植物的自然抗凍多樣性,對此研究領域有開創性的重要影響。
