王曉茹，1992年在瑞典農業科學大學獲博士學位，1999年中國科學院“百人計畫”入選者，2004年獲國家自然科學基金委傑出青年基金。現任中國科學院植物研究所研究員，博士生導師，瑞典Umea大學兼職副教授。 研究領域主要涉及植物群體遺傳學、進化生物學、分子生物學和環境微生物學。

近年來主要從事針葉樹種群體遺傳學、雜交物種形成和適應性進化的分子機制、松屬植物系統發育關係和基因組結構研究。在Genetics、Evolution、Mol Biol Evol、 Mol Ecol， Am J Bot、FEBS Lett、Evol Ecol， Appl Environ Microbiol 等國際重要刊物上（SCI刊物）發表論文50餘篇。
