合肥工業大學土木與水利工程學院教授、博士生導師。現任合肥工業大學新能源安全套用技術研究所所長、安徽省氫安全國際聯合研究中心主任。主要從事新能源安全、火災爆炸安全等領域的科學研究工作。在氫安全、火災爆炸安全科學及防治關鍵技術、生物質熱解及軟體開發等方面取得了豐碩的研究成果。現主持或主持完成科技部重點研發計畫政府間合作重點專項1項、國家自然科學基金3項、國際合作項目3項、中科院項目1項、國家科技支撐計畫子課題2項等總計30多項,執行負責或參與國家十三五重點研發計畫課題、十二五科技支撐、國家973項目、國家基金、歐盟合作項目及其它課題近20項。獲中船重工集團公司科技進步二等獎1項(2015年)和軍隊科技進步三等獎1項(2011年)。在《Journal of Hazardous Materials》、《Energy Conversion and Management》、《Bioresource Technology》、《International Journal of Hydrogen Energy》、《Journal of Fluid Mechanics》等國內外核心刊物上發表學術論文約140篇,其中SCI收錄近70篇。申請國家專利15項(其中發明專利10項),授權軟體著作權6項。
