王新平,男,中國科學院研究生院自然地理學博士,浙江農林大學教授、博士生導師,中科院“百人計畫”入選者,聯合國亞太經社會東北亞次區域環境合作機制“預防和減輕沙塵暴”項目諮詢與人力資源專家,歐洲科學與技術合作“旱地恢復與荒漠化防治”行動專家。曾獲蒙古科學院榮譽文憑、中科院王寬誠西部學者突出貢獻獎獲、國家科學技術進步二等獎、甘肅省自然科學一等獎、寧夏回族自治區科技進步一等獎、第九屆寧夏青年科技獎。
