主要研究方向是微分幾何及其在數學物理中的套用，主要研究調和映射與可積系統、調和映射的幾何、子流形的幾何與分析（特別對稱空間中的極小曲面的幾何與分析）等。

人物簡介
焦曉祥 教授，博士生導師。1985年、1988年和1997年分別在江西大學、杭州大學和中國科學院研究生院獲得學士、碩士和博士學位，2001年8月在中國科學院數學研究所博士後出站。1988年7月－2000年8月在江西大學數學系工作，2001年8月至今在中科院研究生院工作。曾到中國台灣中央研究院數學研究所、德國Regensburg大學等訪問。曾主持與承擔國家自然科學基金面相關項目、國家自然科學基金重點項目、中國科學院基礎研究片2006－2007度重要方向項目、教育部留學回國人員科研啟動基金項目等的研究，已在包括《Math. Ann.》、《Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.》、《Differ. Geom. Appl.》、《Sci. China Ser. A》等國內外著名學術期刊上發表20餘篇研究論文。
