焉翠蔚1983年7月畢業於曲阜師範大學生物系, 1988年7月於山東農業大學獲碩士學位,現任中國海洋大學海洋生命學院教授、碩士生導師。
主要從事生物化學和營養學相關課程的教學和科研工作。已在國內外核心刊物上發表論文137篇,其中有98篇被SCI收錄。獲山東省第六屆青年科技獎,曾獲國家教育部科技進步三等獎1項,山東省科技進步二等獎1項、三等獎2項。

主要從事生物化學教學科研工作,研究方向為生物化學與海洋生物活性物質,金屬配合物的合成及生物活性研究。
