沈優君，女，1963年5月出生，浙江定海人，醫學博士，1979年定海一中高中畢業。

1979年至1984年，就讀於上海醫科大學醫學系；1984年至1989年，在上海醫科大學放射醫學研究所工作，任助教、講師；1989年至1996年，到加拿大阿爾伯塔省大學醫院工作，任助理研究員；1996年至2000年，在美國北卡羅蘭納州WAKE FOREST大學醫學院任副研究員；2000年獲醫學博士學位後至現在一直為美國北卡羅蘭納州立大學醫院任病理科住院醫師、總住院醫師和專科醫師。兼任美國病理科學院院士、美國病理科專科醫師特考文憑、美國病理科學學會會員、美國和加拿大病理學學會會員、美國華人華佗病理學會會員、美國華人醫學總會會員等職。

沈優君原來主要從事醫學科研工作，研究方向為“細胞死亡”，目前在著重研究病理學的同時，又承擔臨床和教學工作。在長期的工作實踐中，積累了豐富的經驗，並取得顯著成績，曾發表過多篇醫學論文，其中用英文發表的論文主要有：
