汪的華1991年畢業於武漢大學環境化學專業,獲理學學士學位;1994年於武漢大學材料保護研究室獲理學碩士學位並留校任教;1998年獲武漢大學物理化學專業理學博士學位;1999年晉升副教授,2004年7—12月赴英國諾丁漢大學訪問並參與研究。主要研究興趣為:熔鹽電解固態化合物、離子液體電化學、腐蝕與防護、環境電化學、能源材料和化學電源。汪主理物理化學、材料腐蝕與防護、環境電化學、電化學實驗方法等方向的本科生及研究生的課程。曾獲武漢大學優秀黨員(1998年)、優秀學生導師(2003年)和第八屆“挑戰杯”全國大學生課外科技作品競賽優秀指導教師(2003年)等榮譽稱號。迄今他在金屬腐蝕與防護、材料電化學、鉛蓄電池和鉛資源循環利用等領域發表學術論文40餘篇,申請專利3項。他還是中國金屬學會熔鹽化學與技術專業委員會委員(2005-)、中國腐蝕與防護學會腐蝕電化學及測試方法專業委員會副主任委員(2002-)、中國腐蝕與防護學會緩蝕劑及套用專業委員會委員(2001-)、《腐蝕科學與防護技術》編委(2001-)。
