毛寧濤，男，生於1964年，原籍陝西，英國國籍。英國利茲大學博士，設計學院紡織系高級講師（副教授）。毛寧濤先後於1985年、1988年在該校獲得紡織工程專業學士、碩士學位，並於1988年至1996年在該校任教。

毛寧濤主要從事流體在紡織材料中的傳輸與纖維集合體結構的關係及其在功能性紡織品開發中的套用、纖維集合體中的毛細管效應及其在功能性紡織品設計中的套用、多空性纖維集合體隔熱材料性能的研究、功能性無紡布材料的研究設計和開發、特種紡織品的研究設計和開發。在歐洲航天局委託的太空飛行器具設計項目中擔任特種織物結構的設計及性能評價分項目負責人；先後在英國技術戰略局（TSB）委託的項目中擔任被服材料熱舒適性能設計與評價、地毯產品對環境影響評價體系項目負責人；在英國衛生部委託的醫用紡織品設計項目和蓋茨慈善基金支持的衛生防護品技術項目中承擔了紡織材料的技術設計；在英國羊毛局委託的英國羊毛產品對環境影響的評價項目中為項目負責人；先後完成了Leeds大學2項創新基金項目。
毛寧濤在美國紡織學報（Textile Research Journal）、紡織進展（Textile Progress）、英國紡織學會志（Journal of Textile Institute）等國際領先刊物上發表了多篇相關學術研究論文。
