this species bears resemblance to p. (prodamesella) biserrata jell from thd late middle cambrian of northwestern queensland,australia ,however,it can be discriminated from the latter mainly by its cylindrical glabella with shorter lateral furrows,its more advanced eye ridges and palpebral lobes,its wider fixed cheek,and less narrowing later ally occipital ring with only 2~3 indistinct postero-medial pits. this species is similar to p. (prodamesella) lata yuan et yin,but the latter has rather slender glabella with ill-defined median notch,narrower (sag.) occipital ring with a small node and much broader fixed cheeks and shorter pygidium.
