代表性成果
2003 年在美國愛因斯坦醫學院獲微生物學博士學位後開始進入環境微生物學領域。2003-2010年,在美國橡樹嶺國家實驗室系統開展了可用於污染環境生物清理和生物能源的環境微生物基因組學和基因工程學的研究。在此期間,作為科研項目負責人(PI)領導了一個由博士後、技術員和交換學生組成的實驗室,並任美國能源部生物能源中心微生物基因工程課題負責人。與美國工程院院士James Liao 教授作為聯合團隊共同負責人,製造了世界上第一個纖維素-異丁醇轉化細菌(該類細菌在自然界尚未發現),該項成就於2011 年3 月獲時任美國能源部部長朱棣文的書面肯定,並被白宮網站和數十家國際媒體報導。
2010年9月全職回國,致力於通過基因組學和基因工程技術來研究氣候變化對我國土壤微生物多樣性的影響,建立了以基因組學和基因工程學為主要技術手段,以微生物為研究對象,以關鍵環境問題的基礎科研為特色的研究思路,取得了一系列具有一定創新性和國際影響的研究成果,在The ISME Journal(《自然》出版集團刊物)、Global change biology、Environmental microbiolgoy等期刊發表多篇學術論文。2012 年以來獲國家自然科學基金委面上、重點項目、科技部973、863等項目、住建部水專項等項目資助。2013年獲“清華大學環境學院科研先進個人”榮譽,2014年獲清華大學青年學者最高獎“學術新人獎”。
