先後在吉林大學、南京大學、華東工學院學習,研究生學歷,物理化學理學碩士學位。
作為訪問學者兩次在加拿大維多利亞大學進行合作科研,多次赴美、加、德、法、英等國大學進行學術交流。
1998年晉升教授。

主講課程
講授本科生、研究生和博士生“化學熱力學”、“高等生物反應工程”、“現代生物技術”、“多肽與基因工程藥物“等課程。
培養研究生情況
先後指導碩士生23人,博士生21人,合作博士後5人。 所指導的學生2010年獲江蘇省百篇優秀博士論文,2018年獲南京理工大學優秀博士論文,2017年獲江蘇省百篇優秀碩士論文。

研究領域
重組多肽、蛋白質的結構與功能;生物醫學材料及組織工程;天然植物內生真菌次生代謝產物的抗腫瘤活性;微生物代謝調控與基因工程。
科研成果
主持的國家級項目被科技部列入國家科技成果重點推廣計畫和國家新產品試製鑑定計畫,獲科技成果優秀項目獎。 項目技術產品被科技部、外貿部等五部委定為國家級重點新產品。以項目專利技術為依託,科技部批准成立國家級技術研究推廣中心。“863”項目基因工程菌高密度發酵表達膠原蛋白實現了產業化,其產品進入國內外市場。參與編寫4部書(含2部工具書)分別在英國和國內出版,其中1部獲國家新聞出版總署國家圖書獎。
1、 主持的國家級項目被國家科技部列入國家科技成果重點推廣計畫和國家新產品試製鑑定計畫,並獲科技成果優秀項目獎。
2、 所主持的科研項目技術成果產品被國家科技部、外貿部等五部委定為國家級重點新產品。

4、1998年被評為南京市科技先進個人,南京理工大學“八五”期間科技先進工作者。
5、在國內外學術刊物和學術會議上發表學術論文100餘篇,參與編寫的2部著作分別在英國倫敦和中國北京出版,並獲國家新聞出版總署國家圖書獎。
