人物經歷
1988-1993年就讀於北京醫科大學（現北京大學醫學部）藥學院，獲學士學位；
1995-1998年就讀於中國協和醫科大學/中國醫學科學院藥物研究所，獲碩士學位；
2000-2005就讀於美國阿肯色大學化學系（University of Arkansas,Fayetteville），獲博士學位；
2005-2006在美國印第安納大學化學系（Indiana University, Bloomington）從事博士後研究；
2006-2009在美國愛荷華州立大學化學系（Iowa StateUniversity）從事博士後研究工作。
研究方向
在國內期間主要著重於抗愛滋病的藥物及抗腫瘤藥物的研究工作；在美期間，主要從事複雜天然產物的全合成和有機反應方法學的研究以及多糖的自動化合成研究工作。
柴永海教授研究組的方向主要是多糖的化學生物學、多糖的抗腫瘤疫苗及糖探針的研究；藥物小分子的設計及合成；有機反應的方法學研究及天然產物的全合成。
