課程背景
跨文化交際是全球經濟一體化的特定時代產生的新興綜合性學科，跨文化溝通能力是當代年輕人工作、學習和進行國際交流的必備能力之一，拓展學習者的文化視野和國際公民意識是必要的。
適應對象
東方遇見西方：跨文化交際之旅課程適用外國語言文學類學生學習。
課程簡介
東方遇見西方：跨文化交際之旅課程共八章，第一章介紹跨文化交際的相關基本概念以及了解跨文化交際在當今世界中的重要性；第二章講述非言語交流的發揮的重要作用以及主要的種類；第三章介紹跨文化交際能力；第四章講述文化模式及文化模式的三個主要構成元素；第五章介紹跨文化交際理論在家庭、教育等領域的具體體現和套用；第六章講述文化偏見中常見的刻板印象、偏見、歧視等；第七章介紹文化認同的概念；第八章講述全球化理論和全球公民的教育理念。

課程特色
課程設計原則
1、理論知識和交際實踐相結合；
2、案例分析和語言提高相結合；
3、課內知識和課外拓展相結合。
教學計畫
據2021年7月智慧樹網平台顯示，東方遇見西方：跨文化交際之旅課程在每一章安排了“作業測試”內容，且學習結束前安排了“期末考試”內容。
教學目標
1、掌握有關跨文化交際的基本理論，認識人類交際活動的重要性、豐富性、複雜性；
2、增強運用英語這門工具自由地與世界各國人士進行相互交流的跨文化交際能力；
3、拓展文化視野和培養國際公民意識，調節自身文化身份及思維定勢。
考核標準
平時成績30分
平時成績=學習進度分（5.0分）+學習行為分（25.0分）。

教師簡介
余衛華，男，博士，浙江越秀外國語學院英語學院院長，教授，研究方向為跨文化傳播與英語語言教育。
諶莉，女，畢業於武漢大學，浙江越秀外國語學院英語學院講師。
曹環，女，畢業於中國地質大學（武漢），浙江越秀外國語學院英語學院講師。
樓凌玲，女，浙江越秀外國語學院英語學院教師、英語系語言文化教研室主任。
張悅，女，浙江越秀外國語學院英語學院基礎英語教學部系主任。
