李長紅,男,畢業於北京醫科大學(現北京大學醫學部)。北京醫科大學博士。賓夕法尼亞大學佩勒曼醫學院糖尿病、肥胖和代謝研究所成員。美國賓夕法尼亞大學費城兒童醫院,研究方向主要為臨床與基礎研究結果的胰島素分泌的研究。

主要成就

李長紅博士在胰島功能與代謝領域從事基礎及轉化醫學研究20年,洪拔辣店闡述了幾種主要類型先天性高胰島素低血糖症(CHI)的致病機制,構建了主要類型CHI的疾病模型。還主導了針對CHI的新藥研發工作。通過他和北京兒童醫院內分泌科的多年合作,中國兒科界對CHI的認識得到顯著的提高,該病已經列入捆榜采首批中國罕見病名錄。李長紅還把CHI研究中的方法和技術套用到糖尿病人胰島的捆遷墊研究中,闡述了2型糖尿病胰島功能障礙的機制,並參與了作為治療2型糖尿病新藥的葡萄糖激酶刺激劑的研發工作。他還開發了針對糖尿病人的特殊醫用食品,臨床試驗證明這些食品能改善糖尿病人的血糖控制。其研究團隊的多個研究課題獲美國國立衛生研究院(NIH)、強生公司、默克等公司資助,作為領導悼芝去獲得科研經費資助總金額超過500萬兵承美元。至今在國際知名學術刊物如JBC、Diabetes、JCI、Cell Metabolism等發表SCI文章60餘篇,圖書章節4篇,還在中國核心期刊上發表中文文章10餘篇。
