李根喜,男,1965年 2月生,山東省嘉祥縣臥龍山鎮長直集村人。
1984~1994年,在南京大學化學系高分子化學、分析化學專業學習,分別獲學士、碩士和博士學位,
1994年6月在該校生化系作博士後,1996年5月出站並留生化系任教,

個人經歷
1996~2000年為副教授,2001年為教授,2002年為博導,其中,1998~2000年分別在德國慕尼黑大學生物系、日本東北大學藥學部、美國哈佛大學醫學院生化與分子藥學系作訪問學者。1999年任生化系系主任。主要從事蛋白質電子傳遞、界面行為及其與生物小分子、納米材料相互作用的研究。2008~2011年任上海大學生命科學學院院長。兼任中國生物化學與分子生物學會蛋白質專業委員會常務委員、副秘書長,中國儀器儀表學會化學感測器專業委員會委員。
成就及榮譽
2009年獲得“國家傑出青年科學基金”。科研成果“蛋白質和酶的電荷傳遞及界面行為與電化學分析法的研究”在1999年1月獲教育部科技進步三等獎。

研究方向
本小組主要是採用電化學方法,並結合其他一些生物學、化學手段,通過對電極表面進行功能修飾,對蛋白質等生物大分子進行分子改造,以研究生物分子的電子傳遞和界面行為,並對分子識別機制、信號傳遞過程、生物感測技術、信息分子功能等熱點問題進行探討,對蛋白質功能和結構研究的新途徑進行探索,建立生物分子測定的新方法、新技術,發展新型生物感測器件,以期對單分子、單細胞和生物活體進行實時、無創傷研究。
近期正致力於以下方面課題的研究:
1. 蛋白質的電子傳遞、電化學及界面行為。
2.蛋白質功能與結構的電化學研究。
3.納米生物學。
4.分子識別、組裝及相互作用。
5.新型第三代生物感測器的研製。
6.生物信號分子研究及相關信號傳導機制探索。
