朱作言先生研究團隊於20 世紀80 年代初期戒判籃首創農業動物基因工程研究,在1985 年發表了世界第一篇魚類基因故境埋轉移研究文章,享有世界聲譽。本書從該團隊發表的200 多篇文章中,選取了100 篇編輯成冊,分雅煉尋放上卷和下卷出版。本書的主線是基於轉基因魚理論模型的建立、轉基因鯉研製及品系選育、轉植基因功能,以及轉基因魚食用和生態安全研究。內容共包括7 個部分:第一部分和第二部分建立了轉基因魚研究的完整理論模型,並以此為基礎成功研製轉“全魚”生長激素基因黃河鯉家系,系統揭示了轉再檔海危植基因的整合、表達和遺傳規律。第三部分從攝食、代謝、生長、免疫和游泳行為等方面,詳細描述了轉基因黃河鯉與野生黃河鯉的生物學特性。第四部分系統評估了轉基因魚在實驗室及模擬自然環境條件下的生態學效應。第五部分系統研究了魚類生長激素對性腺發育的調控作用、育性控制技術及研製不育轉基因魚的策略。第六部分包括草魚全基因組草圖繪製、草魚病原病毒分子生全催物學和抗病草魚基因工程育種的基礎研究。第七部分主要以斑馬魚為模型,對魚類基因工程的生物學原理、技術拓展和套用進行了全方位的探討。為了便於廣大讀者閱讀,英文文章後面均附有中文摘危背禁要。
