曹世雄，1965年2月出生，陝西省延川縣人。中央民族大學經濟學院教授、人口-資源與環境經濟學學科帶頭人，Ambio、Scientific World Journal、Ecosystem Health andSustainability、《生態學報》、《林業經濟論評》刊物的編輯和編委。陝西省“百人計畫學者”，2014年度國際生態與社會科學實踐獎獲得者，2015、2016年度Elsevier社會學全球高被引學者。

2006年6月畢業於中國農業大學，獲博士學位。

主要貢獻
截至2016年底，出版專著2部，在國內外學術刊物“科學通報、Economic Modeling、Time and Society、BioScience、Journal of Applied Ecology、ES&T、Earth-Science Reviews、Gondwana Research、PNAS”等發表學術論文120餘篇，其中被SSCI收錄43篇、SCI收錄42 篇、EI收錄21篇，1篇論文入選全球千人生命科學計畫（Faculty of 1000 Biology），SCI/SSCI引用一千餘次。
（1）提出了生態服務淨價值計算方法，首次厘定了我國主要陸地生態系統（濕地、農田、林地、草地等）服務的淨價值，為土地規劃和環境保護提供了理論依據和決策方法；
（2）首次厘定了自然因素與社會因素對我國植被變化的貢獻率，厘定了退化生態系統植被修復的一系列演化閾值，與地方政府合作首次驗證了生態修復的“雙贏理論”；
（3）提出了制度變革“平衡理論”，首次論證了政治制度變革（真理問題討論、土地產權變革等）是經濟制度變革的前提條件，保證多數人獲益是制度變革成功的關鍵。
