《普通高中課程標準實驗教科書配套教學資源:英語閱讀(1)(2)(高1上學期適用)》適於國中、高中或同等水平的學生閱讀。本套讀物分初、高中兩個部分。國中部分適於國小起始學習英語的義務教育七至九年級學生閱讀,程度大體相當於英語課程標準的三至五級。高中部分模組①至④適於高中一年級學生閱讀。由此類推,其模組⑨至⑧則適於高中三年級的學生閱讀,程度可達到八級。內容分級由易到難,具有彈性。高中模組⑧讀物將有適於達到課程標準九級水平的學生閱讀的材料。書中的練習、注釋等也是針對我國學生的認知特點編寫的。
