- Campus Resources: The campus resources at SVC, while not extraordinary, are numerous and accessible. The library is small, but pleasant and fully functional, with plenty of computers, a silent study room, several group study/presentation rehearsal rooms, and even a spare classroom in the back. The fitness center is rather rudimentary, but there is always a treadmill, elliptical, or one of a wide range of workout machines available. The college's clubs often put on events, but due to the commuter nature of the student body, many of these are sparsely attended. There are a wide variety of tutoring services available - math and writing centers, drop-in tutors, and online assistance, to name a few examples. These are generally underutilized by students, however.
- Campus Resources: As a laptop owner, SVC's incredibly slow wireless internet is extremely inconvenient. Don't expect to be able to load any big files or even large YouTube videos at anything more than a snail's pace. On the plus side, there are many computers available for student use around campus, and students can rent laptops from the library for home use. Printing, at 10 cents per page, isn't usually much of a hassle, although the color printer in the library can get a bit backed up.
- Academic Experience: Like most community college students, I don't really have a major. I will earn my transfer degree which means the first two years of a four year degree which will save me time and money when I transfer. The workload is manageable if you stay up to date and the pace is perfect.
- Campus Resources: Moodle isn't great and the system isn't always dependable but overall, we all seem to get the job done. There are computers in the labs and library but unless you want to hang out on campus a lot, a laptop is best.
- Campus Resources: The athletic center is awesome. I am on the track team but even after practice I like to go work out, they have a variety of different work out machines and they are very nice. The library is a very nice place to go to study it is very quiet and has a lot of seating.
- Campus Resources: I have been told by other students that the computers are nice. I have my own labtop and do all my work at home in the on campus housing so I have my own wifi and printer.
