人物經歷
1989年畢業於
西安交通大學信息與控制工程系, 1994年在
四川大學無線電系獲得碩士學位。2001年5月在
香港大學電機與電子工程系獲得博士學位,專業方向
模式識別。2001年9月至2003年12月作為博士後
研究員在
新加坡國立大學新加坡-美國麻省理工聯盟(Singapore-MIT Alliance)計算機科學組工作。2004年2月至2005年5月在
香港浸會大學(HKBU)計算機系任助理教授(Assistant Professor)。
擔任
高等教育出版社出版,Springer全球發行的英文期刊《Frontiers of Computer Sciecne in China》編委(Editor)。擔任國際IEEE學會香港智慧型計算分會委員會秘書(2004-2006)。房斌擔任眾多國際學術會議程式委員會成員。房斌是國際上
模式識別研究領域一流期刊 IEEE Trans.PAMI, IEEE Trans. IP, IEEE Tran. MI, IEEE Trans. BME, IEEE Trans. SMC, Pattern Recognition, International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence等的特約審稿人。

長期從事
模式識別及
圖像處理等領域的科學研究,取得了一系列高創新性,具有國際先進水平的研究成果。發表論文50餘篇,其中SCI檢索二十多篇,EI檢索二十多篇。在國際著名的本領域頂級期刊IEEE Transactions BME,IEEE Transactions SMC,IEEE Transactions NB, Pattern Recognition, International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence等上發表近十篇高水平的研究論文。作為研究項目的負責人或主研人員完成了並正在承擔多項基金項目和研究課題。
