徐夕生，男, 1962年 1月出生。先後在南京大學和澳大利亞Macquarie 大學獲博士學位。現為教育部“長江學者計畫”特聘教授，南京大學地球科學系教授、博士生導師，國家傑出青年科學基金獲得者。

國際地科聯固體地球成分與演化委員會委員、澳大利亞Macquarie 大學兼職教授、中國礦物岩石地球化學學會理事、岩漿岩專業委員會主任、中國地質學會岩石學專業委員會副主任、江蘇省地質學會常務理事、《科學通報》特邀編輯、《岩石學報》編委、《岩石礦物學雜誌》編委、《礦物岩石地球化學通報》編委。主要從事中國東南部殼幔作用與岩石圈動力學研究，包括對花崗岩成岩成礦機理、地幔岩石地球化學的研究。已在國內外學術刊物發表論文70篇，1995年獲國家教委科技進步一等獎。2004年獲教育部提名國家科學技術獎自然科學一等獎。2004年獲江蘇省優秀地質科技工作者稱號。
