1984.7-1987.9,在陝西省商洛師範專科學校農學系任教
1990.9-1999.4,在中科院水利部水土保持研究所生態部工作
1991.9晉升為助理研究員。1996.9晉升為副研究員,曾任陝西省作物學會常務理事
2001年在中國科學院石家莊農業現代化研究所被聘為研究員

中國北方冬小麥抗旱節水種質創新與新品種選育利用,2009年度國家科技進步獎二等獎,第3名
半乾旱地區作物對有限水分高效利用的原理與技術, 2004年度國家科學技術進步獎二等獎,第7名
