張小川（Scott X. Chang， Scott Xiaochuan Chang），浙江諸暨人，漢族，土壤學家，美國土壤學會會士，美國農學會會士，加拿大土壤學會會土，加拿大阿爾伯塔大學終身教授。

張小川於1984年獲得浙江農業大學學士學位；1987年獲得中國科學院南京土壤研究所碩士學位；1987年—1989年在中國科學院任研究助理；1990年—1991年在加拿大阿爾伯塔大學做訪問學者；1991年—1995年在加拿大不列顛哥倫比亞大學做研究助理；1993年—1995年任加拿大不列顛哥倫比亞大學助教；1995年獲得加拿大不列顛哥倫比亞大學博士學位；1996年—1999年任林肯大學土壤、植物與生態科學部講師；1999年—2001年任北卡羅萊納州立大學哈德伍德研究合部社助理教授、副主任；2001年—2007年任加拿大阿爾伯塔大學森林土壤系助理教授；2007年—2011年任加拿大阿爾伯塔大學森林土壤和養分動力學系副教授；2011年任加拿大阿爾伯塔大學森林土壤和養分動力學系教授；2016年當選為美國土壤學會會士和美國農學會會士。

• 科研綜述

張小川主要從事森林碳和養分循環、土壤過程、土壤退化及其修復、溫室氣體排放和石油開採對森林生態系統的影響、土壤微生物生態學等領域的研究，包括氮同位素示蹤技術及碳、氮同位素技術在生態學研究中的套用，土壤微生物在土壤-植物養分競爭關係中的作用，環境及管理措施對生態系統過程（特別是對碳，氮同位素變化規律）的影響，及土地修復技術的研究等，其主要研究成果如下：

1、混交人工林生態系統的C、N循環，土地利用變化的影響，以及其對區域氣候變化的回響。

2、全球氣候變化和人為管理對牧場生態系統的影響。

3、施肥和biosolid對森林生態系統CO₂ and N₂O 釋放的影響，及其對該類生態系統C平衡的影響。

4、酸沉降速率對油砂地區土壤生態過程的影響。
