水稻是重要農作物,其生長周期中有大部分時間處於水飽和環境。乙烯對於水稻的適應性具有重要作用,但相關信號機制研究較少。我們的研究發現水稻II類受體OsETR2也具有Ser/Thr激酶活性,遺傳分析表明該受體基因可延遲水稻抽穗促進澱粉在莖中積累。由於水稻在幼苗結構、生長環境和乙烯反應表型等方面與擬南芥有很大不同,水稻乙烯信號轉導可能有新的機制。利用與擬南芥乙烯‘三重反應’不同的水稻乙烯‘二重’反應,即水稻黃化苗的根生長受乙烯抑制而地上部胚芽鞘的生長受到促進,我們篩選到了一系列水稻乙烯反應突變體mhz (mao hu zi)。通過圖位克隆等手段鑑定了相應MHZ基因。我們發現,MHZ7/OsEIN2和MHZ6/OsEIN3也是水稻的乙烯信號轉導組分,首次明確了水稻幼苗根和胚芽鞘的乙烯不敏感反應和過敏感反應的表型。進一步對新的乙烯信號轉導候選蛋白MHZ1、MHZ3和MHZ9的研究,對MHZ4/OsABA4、MHZ5和MHZ2與其它激素互作調控幼苗生長的分析,及對OsEIN2過表達株系抑制子的篩選鑑定,將揭示水稻乙烯信號轉導及調控農藝性狀的新組分和新機制。
