早年經歷
坎貝爾出生於密西根州羅亞爾奧克（Royal Oak）， 家庭主婦Joanne Louise（née Pickens）和業餘演員CharlesNewton Campbell的兒子。Bruce Campbell是蘇格蘭後裔.。他有一個年長的哥哥Don和一個異姓哥哥Michael Rendine。

和電影導演山繆·馬歇爾·萊米（Samuel Marshall Raimi）從中學開始就是好友，一起拍過多部電影。他主演了代表作《屍變》（The Evil Dead ），還出演了以《蜘蛛俠》（Spider-Man，2002年）等許多作品。和電影製片人The Coen Brothers有較多交流，出演了許多他們的電影作品。
