本書共分六章。第1章為工業過程控制原理,包括過程控制入門、反饋控制原理、自動控制系統穩定性分析、工業生產過程自動控制系統設計和控制器參數整定等。第2章為工業過程參數測量和執行器,主要介紹工業生產過程參數的測量,如液面、壓力、流量和溫度的測量及各種執行機構等。第3章為工業過程模型化和系統辨識,其中包括數學模型的建立、系統辨識、最小二乘原理與疊代計算及系統辨識實踐步驟等。第4章為複雜工業過程的先進控制,包括前饋和比值控制、純滯後補償控制、自適應控制、推理控制和模型預測控制等。第5章為計算機與自動化,其中包括集散控制系統與可程式控制器,A/D和D/A轉換,微型計算機、數位化和基於PC控制器等。第6章為智慧型控制,包括智慧型控制技術、神經網路控制、模糊邏輯套用、專家系統和人工智慧在過程控制中的套用等。
