《大學英語寫作》系列教材嚴格按照《大學英語教學指南》中寫作能力培養要求而開發。編寫者主要遵循了理論的適用性、選材的原創性、編者的專業性、結構的嚴謹性、內容的實用性、練習的針對性、方法的時代性和教學的網路性八大編寫總原則， 特別是“教學的網路性”原則，特指該系列教材已配套相應的慕課課程和網上教學平台，以拓展教材的使用空間，方便教師利用網上的豐富資源。
《大學英語寫作》共分三冊，*冊呈現寫作基礎知識、描述性寫作、記敘文寫作和套用文寫作。第二冊呈現說明文寫作和議論文寫作。第三冊為大學英語學術寫作，呈現學術寫作基礎和學術寫作實踐。本書為第二冊。

作者簡介
田麗麗，英國牛津大學博士，中國人民大學外國語學院副教授，碩士生導師。研究方向為寫作教學、辭彙習得、語碼轉換等。近年來，在國內外語類核心期刊《外語與外語教學》、《解放軍外國語學院學報》，以及國際SSCI索引期刊Language Teaching Research, System等發表多篇論文，出版專著和教材2部。
