夏小平，男，1977年生，漢族，重慶市人，理學博士，研究員。2001年畢業於中國科學技術大學地球與空間科學系，獲地球化學和電子工程學雙學士學位；2001－2005年於香港大學地球科學系學習，獲博士學位；2005－2009年，香港大學地球科學系研究助理,博士後, 並擔任榮譽助理教授。2009年12月入選中國科學院“引進國外傑出人才計畫”。
