埃爾默·伯恩斯坦（1922年4月4日-2004年8月18日），美國電影作曲家，樂隊指揮，生於紐約，就讀於紐約大學，當過舞蹈師、演員、畫師、鋼琴演奏師。第二次世界大戰時曾在美國陸軍航空部隊廣播站工作，後參加聯合國廣播部搞音樂節目。五十年代初進入美國電影界，由他作曲、配樂的影片不下一百部，電視劇也為數甚多。

埃爾默·伯恩斯坦，美國電影作曲家，樂隊指揮，1922年4月4日生於紐約，就讀於紐約大學，當過舞蹈師、演員、畫師、鋼琴演奏師。第二次世界大戰時曾在美國陸軍航空部隊廣播站工作，後參加聯合國廣播部搞音樂節目。五十年代初進入美國電影界，由他作曲、配樂的影片不下一百部，電視劇也為數甚多。

他曾為電視劇《成了一名總統》配樂而獲得埃米獎，因《金臂人》(1956)、《七武士》(1960，又譯《七俠蕩寇志》)、《夏季和煙霧》(1961)、《獨眼龍雙槍殲四虎》(1969)、《黃金》(1974)等片歌曲譜寫，獲得過十次以上奧斯卡金像獎提名。1967年，他以《非常摩登的米利》獲得第四十屆奧斯卡最佳音樂配樂金像獎。此外，他還因1962年的《梅崗城的故事》和1966年的《夏威夷》兩片獲得好萊塢外國新聞記者協會授予的最佳電影配樂金球獎。

埃爾默·伯恩斯坦的電影音樂創作具有音調優美以及活潑、風趣、熱情的特點，在美國電影界稱埃爾默·伯恩斯坦為“西部的伯恩斯坦”，而稱居住紐約的另一位電影作曲家倫納德·伯恩斯坦為“東部的伯恩斯坦”。作為卓有聲望的電影作曲家，埃爾默·伯恩斯坦也曾擔任過“青年音樂基金會”主席、美國電影藝術與科學學院第一副主席兼音樂部主席，還擔任美國作曲、作詞家公會主席五年。
