吳建中，上海圖書館館長，上海科技情報研究所所長。中國2010年上海世博會主題演繹顧問，上海市圖書館行業協會會長，中國圖書館學會副理事長，國家社科基金評審委員，南京政治學院兼職教授、博士生導師。國際圖聯管理委員會、出版委員會和專業委員會委員（2001年-2005年），《IFLA Journal》、《Libri》雜誌編委，日本《終身教育與圖書館》雜誌編委。2002年獲國務院專家特殊津貼。
近期主要新作有：《世博文化解讀》、《世博會主題演繹》、《公共圖書館發展戰略思考》、《世界經典圖書館建築》、《21世紀圖書館》、《圖書館發展十大熱門話題：策略思考》。
