吳寒天博士，浙江大學教育學院“百人計畫”研究員，博士生導師，教育學系副系主任。多倫多大學教育學博士，哥倫比亞大學教育經濟學碩士，博士師從國際著名比較教育學家、漢學家許美德 (Ruth Hayhoe) 教授，並曾於華東師範大學從事博士後研究。從事國際與比較高等教育、學術知識生產、新興經濟體高等教育發展等領域研究，成果見於Higher Education、Compare、JSIE、《高等教育研究 》、《教育發展研究》、《探索與爭鳴》等刊，近期出版有英文學術專著。現兼任中國高教學會高等教育學專業委員會理事、SN Social Sciences期刊編委。

師承傳承
卡爾·波普爾 (Karl Popper；1902-1994)，著名哲學家，批判理性主義創始人。生於奧地利維也納，1946年遷居英國，於倫敦政治經濟學院(LSE)講授邏輯和科學方法論，1965年經伊莉莎白二世獲封爵位，1976年當選皇家科學院院士。著有《猜想與反駁：科學知識的增長》、《歷史主義貧困論》、《開放社會及其敵人》等。
布萊恩·霍姆斯 (Brain Holmes；1920-1993)，英國著名比較教育學家，比較教育學“問題法”方法論提出者，曾師從卡爾·波普爾並深受其影響。曾擔任倫敦大學教育學院(IOE)比較教育學教授，以及聯合國教科文組織、經合組織等多個國際組織的顧問，並曾擔任世界比較教育學會聯合會的主席。著有《比較教育：方法的思考》、《比較課程論》等。
許美德（Ruth Hayhoe），加拿大多倫多大學安大略教育研究院(OISE)資深教授，著名比較教育學家、高等教育學家、漢學家，精通漢語、英語、法語、德語、拉丁語、希臘語等多種語言，為西方學界系統研究中國高等教育第一人，博士師從布萊恩·霍姆斯教授。曾擔任香港教育大學校長、加拿大駐華大使館教育參贊、美國比較與國際教育學會(CIES)主席。獲頒法國棕櫚葉學術騎士司令官勳章、香港特別行政區銀紫星章、美國比較與國際教育學會榮譽院士、倫敦大學教育學院榮譽院士。著有《中國大學1895-1995：一個文化衝突的世紀》、《思想肖像：中國知名教育家的故事》等。
