人物經歷

1980－1990年在南開大學生物系學習，

1990年獲理學博士學位（昆蟲學方向），隨後任教至今。

其中1996年8月至1998年11月赴美國訪問和進行博士後工作。

1998年12月晉升為教授。

中國昆蟲學會理事，中國昆蟲學會昆蟲分類學專業委員會副主任，天津市動物學會副理事長，國家自然科學基金委員會生命科學部第九、十屆學科評議組成員，《中國動物志》、《動物分類學報》編委。

研究方向

主要採用比較形態學、細胞分類學和分子系統學的方法從事半翅目和雙翅目癭蚊科昆蟲的生物系統學、生物地理學和進化生物學研究。
