主要研究方向包括：⑴生物土壤結皮，重點關注其發育機理、空間分布、生態功能及其干擾回響、培育恢復；⑵水土保持工程，探討生產建設項目的水土流失規律及其侵蝕防治技術，參與相關規範、標準、政策的制定。
學術成果
主持國家自然科學基金、國家重點研發計畫項目任務等課題10餘項，承擔完成各類工程水土保持方案編制、監測監理、驗收評估等技術諮詢項目30餘項。
