勞倫·克里斯蒂是英國歌手，詞曲作者和音樂製作人，1967年出生於倫敦。從幼年起，她想成為一名芭蕾舞演員。11歲—17歲，曾讀於美國戴維斯芭蕾舞學校，在那時她便勵志要成為一名歌手和作曲家。克里斯蒂先後加入過多個樂隊，第一支樂隊是Pink Ash，包括6名男性成員和勞倫·克里斯蒂，而她的藝名是Susie Reptile 。
1993年2月19日，勞倫·克里斯蒂在洛杉磯發行了她的首張個人專輯，其中包括單曲You Read Me Wrong 和 Steep 。1995年因歌曲《夜色》獲得金球獎(Golden Globe) 最佳原創歌曲提名。
