劇情簡介
故事發生在英國--這個現代足球的發源地。著名球星丹尼·米安（維尼·瓊斯飾）正處在自己足球生涯的頂峰，不斷的進球，不斷的勝利，使丹尼擁有一切讓旁人艷慕不已的東西：大把的金錢、豪華的跑車和美麗溫柔的名模女友。
只可惜厄運很快就降臨到丹尼的頭上，在一場重要比賽前夕，他和朋友因為喝醉酒打人鬧事而被毫不留情地投入了監獄，曾經奢侈的生活一去不復返了，就在丹尼在百無聊賴中虛耗自己的生命時，典獄長（大衛·海明斯）卻分配他一項特殊的任務——訓練一支由監獄裡的警察組成的半職業足球隊，典獄長期這支由他自己組建的球隊能在丹尼的調教下拿下這次賽季的冠軍。丹尼並沒有答應典獄長，而是要求由他挑選犯人來組成一支球隊，嚴加訓練後作為警察隊在賽季前的熱身球隊，典獄長答應了，接下來，就看丹尼如何在一大堆奇形怪狀的強盜、小偷和殺人犯中挑出一支足球隊來訓練他們......
