個人簡介
劉叢強主要在喀斯特區域地表地球化學過程及其生態環境效應、
微量元素和
同位素地球化學基礎理論和套用兩個方向進行了系統研究並取得突出成就。研究揭示了喀斯特流域養分生物地球化學耦合作用機制和循環規律、流域化學侵蝕與地質和生態系統之間的關係、人為活動影響喀斯特流域養分自然生物地球化學循環的機制並提出流域硫和氮循環影響碳循環及其溫室氣體源—匯效應的觀點,有關研究豐富了傳統表生地球化學理論。對地表和地球深部固體—流體體系
稀土元素分配規律的研究豐富並發展了稀土元素地球化學理論;在利用多種同位素與微量元素對地表和地球內部地球化學過程和物源示蹤研究方面做出了特色突出的系列重要成果。

中國東部新生代火山岩及其地幔岩包體的微量元素和
同位素地球化學研究,其成果獲2002年貴州省科學技術進步一等獎(負責); 1996至今主要從事地表地球化學過程及其環境效應方面的研究,研究重點為喀斯特
環境地球化學過程和環境變化。有關喀斯特(
烏江)流域物質的
水文地球化學的研究成果於2004獲貴州省科技進步一等獎(負責)。至今共發表中文期刊收錄論文200餘篇,英文SCI收錄論文110餘篇;合著專著5部;培養
博士生(畢業)30餘名。
1990年8月獲中國岩石礦物地球化學學會候德封獎(中國西部(東部)新生代火山岩的同位素以及微量元素地球化學 013號)
1993年5月破格晉升為中國科學院地球化學研究所研究員,並被國務院學位委員會批准為博士生導師
1994年8月獲國家地震局科技進步獎二等獎(排名第7,中國新生代火山岩年代學與地球化學,證書號 922804,1994-8)

學術研究
主要從事新生代火山岩及地幔包體地球化學、地質流體作用地球化學和地表過程地球化學等領域的研究工作。利用微量元素和同位素地球化學的過程和物質來源示蹤理論,對中國新生代大陸
地幔岩漿作用及地球化學特徵、地質流體作用、地表過程及其環境效應等方面開展了研究工作。作為首席科學家組織實施了我國第一個地質流體作用地球化學研究項目;在
喀斯特環境地表地球化學過程及其環境效應方面獲得有關物質循環與環境效應的系統認識,國內外學術界給予了很高的評價。

研究方向
主要從事地表(無機、有機和生物)地球化學過程、物質循環及其生態環境效應的研究:環境和生態系統的變化與(自然或人類活動干預下)地表各圈層內及相互之間物質的生物地球化學循環密切相關。針對這一核心科學問題,在結合其它學科理論和研究方法的基礎上,充分利用元素和多種同位素地球化學示蹤和化學計量學理論和方法,主要對我國西南喀斯特生態系統中岩石-土壤-植物-水-大氣界面生物地球化學過程和流域物質循環開展研究。
