Croatia is popular summer touristic destination at south of Europe. We call it country of 1000 islands. In reality there are about 80 islands of area 1 square kilometer or more and rest are numerous islets, rocks and reefs. Some of islands are larger, inhabited and connected by ferries and some are smaller and deserted. Some were/are fishing settlements and some are ports with yachts. This makes islands really great for nautical tourism or simple return-to-nature type of summer holidays. But, besides their beauty, islands have their problems too. Many islands suffer from declining population, lack of jobs, lack of infrastructure, health care or primary education services. This innovative quiz game promotes Croatian tourism and islands. Please try it if you have been in Croatia or you are planning to visit it or you just want to learn something new! Goal of game is to correctly identify as many Croatian islands as you can. Each island is shown on blind map and you have five trials to identify it. At first, area that covers only island is shown on map. Then after each unsuccessful trial, map will be expanded so that you will see more of surrounding islands and land and you will have more chances to make correct identification. If you make it in less trials, you will gain more points. If you don’t make it, you will lose some points. So try to achieve as high score as you can while discovering ten random picked islands. It’s not easy because, remember, there are so many islands and even native Croatians will have some difficulties ; but it’s fun and you can learn something unique!
