1984年畢業於中山大學光學專業;1987年碩士畢業才提閥市於中科院上海精密光學機械研歸試才究所;1987年至今在中山大學光電材料與技術國家重點實驗室(原超快速雷射光譜學國家重點實驗室)工作,期間作為訪問學者多次與香港科技大學和德國MAX-BORN研究所進行合作研究。
