On October 1st, 2015, the 68th Annual Meeting of FEMTEC was held in Sardinia, Italy. China and other 18 major countries (China, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Romania, Germany, UK, Spain, Switzerland, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Cuba, Kazakhstan,Poland, the Republic of San Marino, Tunisia) initiated, the World Thermalism Forum(WThF) was formally established. WThF represents the highest Thermalism level in the world.
Founded in October 1937 in Hungary, FEMTEC (the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy) is under the guidance of the World Health Organization and the World Tourism Organization. FEMTEC is the most authoritative and influential non-governmental, nonprofit organization of international Thermalism and health vacation. FEMTEC gathers the public and private institutions that represent Thermal Establishments in the respective Countries.
After nearly 79 years of development, FEMTEC has about 60 member states. On behalf of China, Tourism Association Hot Spring Tourism Branch (CHSTA) joined FEMTEC in October 2009.
