如果要給Stars In Coma的音樂冠一個名，那就是“Greeeat pop songs”。不帶一點虛假，也不帶一點猶豫。
好久沒有聽到這么輕鬆愜意的Indie Pop了。Stars in Coma很有Camera Obscura一類調調的復古流行樂小品調調，比起他以前的那幾張，旋律更為有趣悅耳。Stars in Coma的嗓音很中性，或者說小受。尾音喜歡拖得老長，顯得很嗲。於是想起一個穿著粉紅TEE的少年在一片段預告草叢裡曬太陽的場景。而invisibility trick的鍵盤絕對會讓你想起Camera Obscura - Lloyd Im Ready To By Heart Broken MV里在超市里跳來跳去的那一對男女。

This album is a compilation of songs, some old, some new, that represents the perfect introduction to Stars In Coma's ace pop music.
After Phil's review of summat else on the label, Plastilina records of Peru also have available Stars in Coma's 'You're Still Frozen in Time. On the front he looks like a young Julian Cope in drag!!! The music is incredibly chipper Euro indie with slightly fey lyrics, a chic, funky chugging guitar taking this man Andre's songs out of the realm of DIY rough into a smoother audience baiting proposition. You can tell he's mainly a one man band and for that he's got to be commended even if some spots do sound like The Magnetic Nik Kershaw Fields. At least the recording technology & production is sparkly new even if there's a bit of an wonky 80's vibe to the album (more of those breezy old keyboards so beloved of todays Scandinavians - hello Tillmanns!!!) . It's another case of being bowled over by the sheer charm & warmth of a man's vision even if it occasionally sets my teeth on edge!!! Great tunes & ideas aplenty all in all!!
Think back to the time when The Field Mice released their EP "Sensitive", add some melancholic electro beat, the 80's synth and a thinner version of Pelle Almquvist's voice, with a tiny flashback to London, to The Beatles. This is Stars In Coma. Not flashy or classy. "You're still frozen in time" ain't giving that wow feeling, but rather a conclusion of alright pop music with a general positive impression and a few hits. When listening to "I saw my heart passing by" I had to look at the playlist, to make sure it wasn't Andreas Jonsson's "Sing for me", parenthesis: meaning high quality, therefore their best track. Vocalist André Brorsson has, sadly, a too fragile and ordinary voice, sometimes too whiny, to reach the top. Chris Martin is fragile and whiny, but importantly eccentric. Maybe André needs to twist it up to make his sound more tweepoppy, more special. Well, I think of London when I listen to this. I bet my head that this will be suitable to the taste of 'Londoners'. Right now I'm wondering if the lath in Sweden is placed high up above, coming to the scene of pop and indie. - Therese Buxfäldt
