As one of the first Westerners to delve deeply into Zen Buddhism, Herrigel was a key figure in the popularization of Eastern thought in the West, as well as being a captivating and illuminating writer. 奧根·赫立格爾（1884-1955），德國哲學家，埃爾朗根大學教授。曾參加第一次世界大戰。1924-1929年在日本東北大學講授哲學及古典語文學，期間師從弓道大師阿波研造學禪。二戰後隱居於德國加米施。1948年出版學禪回憶錄《箭術與禪心》，使“禪”普及於西方世界。魯宓，現代藝術家，譯者。1961年生於台北，台灣師範大學藝術學士，美國德州大學奧斯汀分校藝術碩士。曾在台北、巴黎等地舉辦個展。出版有譯著二十餘部。
