wretches and kings是林肯公園第4部專輯a thousand suns中的歌曲，歌曲以麥克信田的RAP和查斯特怒吼為特點，很有“林肯”的味道。開頭結尾引用美國上世紀著名政治活動家Mario Savio於1964年12月2日在伯克利分校名的為 '直面齒輪機'(put your bodies upon the gears)的一次演講中的高潮部分，與歌曲渾然一體。

久違三年的新金屬樂團林肯公園今日在官網上宣布，樂隊就在9月14發行全新的錄音室大碟《A Thousand Suns》。專輯的首波主打單曲《The Catalyst》將會在8月2日全面登入電台以及iTunes下載商店。
超級製作人和樂隊的成員Mike Shinoda再次聯手製作了樂團這次的新專輯《A Thousand Suns》，兩人上次聯手打造林肯公園的專輯是在2007年發行的《Minutes to Midnight》。而林肯公園也將在他們官方的Myspace首頁上舉辦一些活動來宣傳全新的專輯，其中就包括了徵集冬粉用林肯公園的音樂錄製自己歌曲並且有可能出現在新專輯中。
“這次全新的專輯將向大家展示我們是一個出色的樂團，同時也給冬粉一個機會讓他們參與到我們的歌曲當中，也展示給大家我們的音樂是如何影響這些年輕人的。”樂隊成員Shinoda說：“我們的冬粉不斷的用他們的創新精神影響著我們，我想他們一定會拿出一些非常出色的作品。”
《A Thousand Suns》是2007年林肯公園發行《Minutes to Midnight》之後闊別三年的全新作品，上一張專輯的銷量已經突破了300萬張。
