現居舊金山。
多年來她為雜誌及包括紐約惠特尼美術館及丹佛美術館在內的美術館，撰寫過不少關於視覺藝術、公共空間，景觀、環境等議題的文章。
除本書外，索爾尼著有《移棲之書》、《荒野之夢》等多部作品。2010年被 “Utne Reader”雜誌評為“25位改變你人生的人”之一。
